Keep Your Engine Running Cooler
Heat shields deflect heat that would normally radiate from headers and heat exchangers towards the engine. When heat shields are in place the air on the engine side of the shields vs. the header side has been measured at 100 degrees cooler.
Titanium is the perfect metal for this as it has a very low heat conductivity rating. For example, on a scale from one to hundred, copper is the most heat conductive at 100 and titanium is near the least heat conductive with a rating of 3.1.Â
These shields are made with care and precision (or they wouldn’t be offered here!) and bolt right on. Worth a few bucks to keep your expensive engine running cooler.Â
