Stubby has become a bit of a legend. Built following a Porsche Bulletion that provided details, specifications and guidelines on building a car for competitive events such as rallying and circuit racing.

This is an interesting car. It was equipped with factory installed rear fender flares marked "2.5cm Rear Fender Flares" on the Kardex, one of two only. I found it's twin in Italy but an owner had removed the fender flares thinking they were after-market.

One of AC's first Porsches, it was acquired in rough but solid condition with most original parts there. AC restored it with of goal of 100% authenticity using only original parts. It was possible at that time but the process took 8 years. Maybe my favorite Porsche of all time.

When AC acquired this car it was referred to as the "poor man's RS Carrera". My son put me on to these before they were widely recognized making it affordable. This was a truly outstanding driving car and looked great in with the Lime Green color.

AC has restored a number of Roadsters, kind of a specialty. This one was restored for a doctor on the East Coast. When we acquired it and took it down to metal it had one of the best tubs we had ever seen. With colors specified by the customer it turned out to be really attractive.

It seems that many make fun of Targa's with some calling them "flexible fliers". But this is the best open road Porsche out of the many we've owned.

We were the first to pioneer LED headlights back in 2016. I will post some of the pictures of the primitive testing we did at the time. The pick of the litter for premium LED's was JW Speaker and they're still among the best. However, Daniel Stern, acknowledged worldwide as an automotive lighting expert and our Sr. Automotive Lighting Consultant, recently designated the Philips Integral Beam LED's as the best of the best, what we refer to as Best-in-Class.

AC Premium Bosch Logo H4 Headlights

There's a big demand for the original Bosch H4's and we restore a lot of them but they are getting more difficult to find. Bosch is no longer building them - the current ones sold by Porsche are built by AL (Automotive Lighting) in Czechoslovakia and the lenses are marked "AL" instead of "Bosch". Those are fine but we decided we could do a little better and get a little closer to the original Bosch's with a few significant improvements.

45% Brighter Incandescent Turn Signal & Taillight Bulb Kit

These bulbs were originally used by a Japanese auto manufacturer in their high-end cars. They evidently made the decision that they were to expensive and went back to basic bulbs.

These are 45% brighter and have nickel bases to prevent corrosion. They are the best way we know of to significantly increase the brightness of your signal light bulbs short of installing LED's. And they do retain an original look. They're expensive though. Your call (we sell a lot of them).
