Update your failure-prone 30+ year old factory Bosch DME with this modern direct-fit replacement!
The Focus 9 Technology SPORT DME is an upgrade for the factory BOSCH ML3.1 Motronic computer. Unlike universal aftermarket computers, installation is simple and requires no additional sensors, tuning or other modifications. While it looks different internally, it functions identical to the original Bosch DME in every way right down to the FQS switch. This is because the SPORT DME reuses four key microchips from your original DME which preserve the core functionality of the original Bosch DME. In this way, all performance chips, MAF kits or other upgrades made for the factory DME are compatible.
By reverse-engineering the factory Bosch DME, we updated the electronics around these chips using 21st century electronics and design practices. This, in effect, is the equivalent of removing the brains from your old tired DME and giving it a brand-new body. In doing so, we corrected fundamental issues that plagued 911 owner for decades.
