Why do you need this system and what is a trigger or ref/sync? 

This kit uses high speed digital hall effect sensors for a digital output to the engine control unit, these are best run at 8V, most modern ECU's have an 8V output dedicated for crankshaft sensors, but can also run at 5-12V.

Machined aluminum housing and anodized finish, complete with maintenance free bronze bush and sealed for life roller bearing.  These sensors are quite adjustable so are often able to be used with existing crank pulley and trigger wheel setups from other quality vendors.

Available in 3 configurations.

  • A complete engine position trigger kit, with crankshaft pulley and 36-1 trigger wheel, or
  • A trigger kit with two sensors and no crankshaft pulley or trigger wheel, which may fit other aftermarket crank pulleys, or
  • A trigger kit with internal single sensor for crankshaft reference position for those that already have a crank sensor on the flywheel to measure crankshaft position wish to run sequential ignition/injection. It behaves similar to a "Cam Sensor" in that it produces 1 pulse every 2 engine revolutions.

This kit replaces the distributor, so requires either coil on plug, or other single coil lead per cylinder where the ECU determines ignition events.

Kit Includes:

Sync 2 Sensor + 127mm Crank Pulley + 36-1 Trigger

  • Main body assembly
  • 2 x ZF Hall effect sensors
  • Wiring and connectors, with pins and connectors for connecting to your wiring loom.
  • 127mm Crank Pulley and Trigger Disc to suit parallel end crankshafts.

Sync 2 Sensor

  • Main body assembly
  • 2 x ZF Hall effect sensors
  • Wiring and connectors, with pins and connectors for connecting to your wiring loom.
  • For use with other crank trigger systems.
  • (We can not guarantee that that this system will fit every crank/trigger system, however it can be easily modified to suit most systems)

Sync 1 Sensor

  • Main body assembly
  • 1 x ZF Hall effect sensors, single tooth for engine cycle sensing
  • Wiring and connectors, with pins and connectors for connecting to your wiring loom.
  • For use when you already have some other crankshaft position sensing either on the flywheel or pulley and just need to add an engine cycle/sync sensor to complete your sequential system.

This replacement kit fits to the OEM distributor location using your own factory distributor gear. Simply remove the factory distributor gear from your install the gear, wire to your ECU, fine tune the sensor air gap to the crank trigger disc, setup the reference position in the ECU and you have all the sensing you need for the latest sequential fuel and ignition systems.  This kit works on the 2.7, 3.0, 3.2 and with the turbo distributor gears.

This kit does not work on 964/993 3.6 cases
